Springfield, MA – Today, Congressman Richard E. Neal released the following statement after the Baker-Polito Administration published the independent report investigating the COVID-19 outbreak at the Holyoke Soldiers’ Home. “This report reaffirms what I have been saying from the start of this awful tragedy: there must be accountability for what happened at the Holyoke Soldiers’ Home,” said Congressman Neal. “I stand with my constituents, family members of residents at the Home, Veterans, and staff in their calls for change. Now, more than ever, it is time to refurbish the facility and it must be treated with the same equity as its counterpart in Chelsea. I stand ready to volunteer any resources that the federal government can provide as the state moves forward to examine next steps.” ## |
