Congressman Richard E. Neal is demanding answers from the Trump Administration on their knowledge about reports that concluded Russia offered bounties to Taliban fighters to kill U.S. troops.

“For more than a year, the Trump Administration has known that Russia has been offering bounties to the Taliban to target and kill U.S. troops in Afghanistan. The intelligence assessments about Russia provocations have also been included in the Presidents Daily Briefing report. Despite these startling revelations, President Trump has taken no action against Russia, and continues to deny he was ever briefed on the matter. The lives of our brave service members have been put at risk by this covert operation, but the President has shown no urgency to hold Russia accountable. Every American ought to find this inaction deeply troubling.  I join the bipartisan effort to have the Trump administration brief the Congress on this issue of national security immediately,” said Congressman Neal.
