September 20, 2018
Press Release

Springfield, MA - U.S. Congressman Richard E. Neal released the following statement on the one year anniversary of Hurricane Maria making landfall in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

"It has been one year since Hurricane Maria ravaged destruction through Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. I have not forgotten about the victims and the recovery efforts that are still needed. I have visited the island of Puerto Rico, I have heard concerns from individuals who are now in western and central Massachusetts awaiting the ability to return home, and I have continuously called on the Trump Administration to get these Americans the help they so desperately need. Whether it be wildfires in California, flooding in Texas, or a tornado in Massachusetts - the American principle says that we all come together to the aid of our fellow Americans. Let us not forget that."
