Neal Statement on Today's Supreme Court Rulings

SPRINGFIELD, MA – Today Ways and Means Committee Chairman Richard E. Neal (D-MA) released the following statement after the Supreme Court handed down its decisions related to the President’s financial records: “Today, the Supreme Court affirmed that no one is above the law. There is no absolute immunity for any citizen. “After reviewing the opinions, I remain confident that the Ways and Means case ultimately will prevail. The Committee’s case meets the considerations now articulated by the Court and is further bolstered by a clear statutory right in the tax code. The law is on our side and the Administration has no basis whatsoever to continue to refuse to comply with my request.” ### |
