Springfield, MA – U.S. Congressman Richard E. Neal released the following statement after a series of earthquakes hit Puerto Rico in recent days, causing heavy damage and killing one.
“The First Congressional District of Massachusetts is home to one of the highest numbers of individuals of Puerto Rican descent in the entire country,” said Congressman Neal. “The individuals impacted by these continued tremblors are our neighbors, friends, and relatives. The American principle says that we all come together to the aid of our fellow Americans. We stand ready to do that again if needed for Puerto Rico.”
