SPRINGFIELD, Mass (WWLP) – More than 500 lawmakers were in Springfield on Friday to provide a local, state, and federal outlook to the business community. Congressman Richard Neal, Lt. The event allows officials from the local state and federal levels to come together to discuss current events. Some of the main topics discussed were health care, housing, and transportation. This comes after the House passing the bill that will raise gas tax, that money will go towards the state’s transportation systems. “We are excited to get some things going we understand that a strong infrastructure and an infrastructure that is in a state of good repair makes for a business-friendly environment,” said Rep. Joseph Wagner. Lieutenant Governor Karyn Polito was also in attendance and she was the keynote speaker of Outlook 2020. The annual Outlook Lunch is the Chamber’s largest legislative event. |
