Ways and Means Ranking Member Richard E. Neal (D-MA) applauded President Biden’s nomination of Julie Su for Secretary of the Department of Labor: “At a critical moment for America’s workers, President Biden has ensured the next Labor Secretary won’t miss a beat by elevating a proven leader, Julie Su. She has fought for workers’ rights and played an integral role in getting millions back on the job both as Deputy Secretary and throughout her career. Republican extremism is the single largest threat to our strong economic recovery, jeopardizing jobs and wages, and I’m confident Ms. Su will be the strong backstop that workers deserve. “Together, we will continue to build an inclusive economy that puts workers first, and I urge the Senate to take up her nomination as soon as possible.”
