Ways and Means Committee Ranking Member Richard E. Neal (D-MA) released the following statement on the passing of United Steelworkers International President Tom Conway:

“From his earliest days as a steelworker, Tom Conway was a champion for America’s working people and for the labor movement that built this country. As International President of the United Steelworkers, Tom fought tirelessly for the right to fair wages and safe conditions that every worker deserves while charting a course for worker-centric trade policies. I join in offering my condolences to his family and loved ones, to all those in the United Steelworkers with whom he served, and to the workers whose dignity and opportunity he fought for with such steadfast rigor.”
