Neal Statement on Second Anniversary of Bipartisan Infrastructure Law

Ways and Means Committee Ranking Member Richard E. Neal (D-MA) released the following statement lauding the second anniversary of the Bipartisan infrastructure Law:

“With a four vote margin and bipartisan consensus, Democrats accomplished what many have attempted and finally put weight behind ‘Made in America.’ Modernizing our nation’s infrastructure to make travel faster, safer, and more reliable, while growing our economy from the bottom-up and the middle-out. The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law has already been an economic engine, with over 40,000 projects underway in every corner of our country and countless jobs created.

“We’ve hit the ground running in Massachusetts. Modern, accessible infrastructure connects our communities, unlocks opportunity, and Bay Staters are benefiting. Recently announced North-South and East-West investments from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law are linking the Commonwealth, facilitating easier travel and powering our regional economies. Expanding East-West rail in Massachusetts will boost communities across New England, and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law is key to fully realizing our economic vision.

“The investments we made possible in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law are transforming our nation and changing the lives of our constituents, and that’s exactly what the Congress is meant to do. My Republican colleagues would do well to learn from our successes.”
