BOSTON, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - Several state leaders are echoing Governor Healey’s calls for a major disaster declaration following last September’s extreme flooding. Senators, Elizabeth Warren, and Ed. Markey along with State Representatives Richard Neal, Jim McGovern, and more, have sent a letter to President Biden and the FEMA Region 1 Administration. They are asking them to reconsider denying the major disaster declaration and aid to the impacted communities. Earlier this month, Governor Healey appealed FEMA’s denial of assistance in Bristol, Hampden, and Worcester County. |
