SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Leagrey Dimond made a visit to downtown Springfield to help honor her stepfather, Dr. Seuss, on Friday afternoon. Dimond has been in the area for the last few days, touring the city and looking at the recent developments that have been taking place including MGM Springfield, Union Station and the Springfield Museums. She toured the inside of the recently renovated Union Station alongside Congressman Richard Neal. "I love coming here, and especially this visit," she told 22News. "Beautiful things are happening here in Springfield and it's wonderful to see it take place. I'm so happy for Springfield." Dr. Seuss, born Theodore Geisel, is originally from Springfield. Dimond resides in San Francisco, but she says she loves coming back to her stepfather's hometown. She will remain in the area for a little longer, before heading back out west. |
